Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – The Baden-Württemberg state parliament held a minute’s silence in memory of the victims of the attack in Illerkirchberg. “We are shaken,” said President of the State Parliament Muhterem Aras (Greens) on Wednesday at the beginning of the plenary session in Stuttgart.
On December 5, a man from Eritrea is said to have attacked two girls on their way to school in Illerkirchberg near Ulm, injuring them so badly that a 14-year-old died. The second girl, 13 years old, was believed to have been seriously injured with a knife.
“These are unimaginable acts that leave us stunned and make many people angry,” said Aras. Arrest warrants for murder and attempted murder have been issued against the 27-year-old suspect.
