Leipzig (dpa / sn) – climate activists from the group “End Fossil: Occupy!” occupied the Audimax of Leipzig University on Monday afternoon. There are twenty people on site, said the university spokesman, Carsten Heckmann, of the German Press Agency. According to their own statements, the group had occupied more than 40 lecture halls worldwide in the past few months to campaign for climate protection. In Leipzig, the activists called on the university to become climate-neutral by 2030, among other things.
