The state capital Dresden announced that all available forces and vehicles were in use. Twelve centimeters of snow fell in Dresden during the night. The clearing vehicles initially concentrated on the main routes. The city called on all road users on side streets that could not initially be cleared to be particularly careful. According to the city, the winter service in Leipzig has been running since Sunday evening. According to the German Weather Service, it will remain frosty and wintry in Saxony for the next few days.
