Romania “worried”. The day after several Russian explosive drones fell on the Danube, Romania’s president said the attack on Moscow took place “very close” to its border. “We have had attacks (…) which have been recorded 800 meters from our border. So very, very close,” Klaus Iohannis told a press conference alongside Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel. On Monday, Ukraine claimed to have evidence that Russian explosive drones had fallen overnight from Sunday to Monday in Romania, a NATO member country.
Since the suspension in July of the agreement which allowed Ukraine to export its cereals via the Black Sea, Russia has increased its bombardments. The region of southwestern Ukraine bordering Romania, where there are ports and other infrastructure crucial to this trade, is regularly targeted.
