Neuenstein (dpa/lsw) – An overturned semi-trailer truck with a 20-ton load of wood blocked all lanes on the A6 motorway near Neuenstein (Hohenlohekreis) in the direction of Heilbronn during morning rush hour. The rescue work had begun, said a police spokeswoman on Thursday afternoon. However, it is not clear when the lanes will be open again.

The A6 motorway was closed from the Kupferzell junction, as was the driveway to the Hohenlohe Nord service area behind the accident site. Long traffic jams formed after the accident, including on the detour route.

The 30-year-old driver of the truck suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital, police said. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
