Save me ended last June and, after a few months of hiatus, Jorge Javier Vázquez will return to television with a new program. Chinese stories is the name of the format, which will premiere on Telecinco on September 11 and will be broadcast live from Monday to Thursday at 9:00 p.m.
As Mediaset has revealed, Chinese Tales will be “a choral, colorful, explosive show at times, with a setting and an aesthetic inspired by the ancient Chinese culture and with two key aspects that will reign above all in this television revolution: fun and good humour”.
Produced by Mediaset España in collaboration with La Fábrica de la Tele, the program will take place on a new set of more than 1,000 square meters and will have a guest in each installment who, in addition to being interviewed, will be able to participate if they want in the different sections and games that the collaborators will propose. In addition, the space will introduce Jing Jing, a peculiar character, half cat half lioness, who will ask questions.
Vázquez will have a team of collaborators made up of Susi Caramelo, Anabel Alonso, Antonio Castelo, Virginia Riezu, Josep Ferré, Athenea Pérez and Germán González.
Mediaset has also revealed the sections that Chinese Tales will have. In Sushi at home, Susi Caramelo will go to the homes of celebrities to deliver an order of Asian food and discover some of the secrets and corners of her house. They are not tall tales! It is the section of Anabel Alonso, an unconventional news program in which she will address different news.
In Mission Impossible, Miss Universe Spain 2023 Athenea Pérez will break down the usual stereotypes associated with the world of beauty pageants. In addition, Germán González will have a section called Lotobombo, a version of the lottery in which the 100 attendees will participate as the audience on the set.
Antonio Castelo and Virginia Riezu will be current affairs and gossip analysts and will give their points of view on the most outstanding news from the world of celebrities. Josep Ferré, who already participated in Sálvame, will return in Cuentos chinos with his imitations, embodying new characters linked to current events.
