Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) – A relationship dispute in Frankfurt called neighbors into action, triggered a police operation and ultimately gave an official a flesh wound. Neighbors initially heard a woman cry for help from an apartment in an apartment building in the Oberrad district on Monday night, the police said. Alarmed police officers saw through a window that a man was apparently preventing a woman from leaving the apartment. When officers entered the apartment, the man punched and kicked them and bit one officer in the thigh.
It turned out that the 27-year-old got into an argument with his 27-year-old partner. According to the police, he was taken into custody to sober up and is now facing charges of deprivation of liberty and an assault on law enforcement officials, the police said.
