The Ukrainian president, Volodímir Zelensky, said this Sunday that he had discussed with his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, “ways to guarantee the operation” of the corridor established by Kiev in the Black Sea to guarantee the safety of navigation after Moscow’s withdrawal from the Agreement on grain exports.

“We also discussed ways to ensure the operation of the grain corridor and strengthen security in the Odessa region,” in southwestern Ukraine, the Ukrainian president wrote on X, formerly Twitter, after a phone conversation with Macron.

The agreement on the export of Ukrainian grain was suspended after the blockade of Moscow last July, when it alleged that Ukraine had breached its commitments with Russia.
