Mönchengladbach (dpa / lnw) – In the process of almost deadly shots at two neighbors, the Mönchengladbach district court wants to announce the verdict this Wednesday (1 p.m.). A 58-year-old is accused. The public prosecutor accuses him of attempted murder and attempted manslaughter.

The man confessed that six months ago in Rommerskirchen-Butzheim he spat on a 38-year-old man, then shot him in the stomach and also shot a 44-year-old neighbor. But he didn’t want to kill anyone.

The incident was preceded by a year-long dispute with the neighbor, who is said to have repeatedly insulted him as a foreigner. Prosecutors have asked for eleven years in prison for the Portuguese.
