Gelsenkirchen (dpa / lnw) – After a traffic accident in Gelsenkirchen, a driver threatened the cyclist involved in the accident with a stun gun. When turning on Monday, the 23-year-old driver collided with a cyclist of the same age, the police said on Tuesday. The cyclist then fell, but was uninjured. A police spokeswoman said the driver then got out of his damaged car and pulled out the stun gun, but soon put it back in the car.

A police officer who was traveling privately observed what was happening and informed the control center. The officers then searched the car and found the alarm gun in the glove compartment. The police forbade the 23-year-old to continue driving and initiated the investigation.
