Magdeburg (dpa/sa) – With a mobile advice service, more people should have easy access to the offers of the Saxony-Anhalt consumer center. The Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection announced on Friday that the bus will probably stop in central and easily accessible places, especially in rural communities, from autumn 2023. In this way, the existing advisory network is supplemented.
Consumers should be able to be connected to the specialist advisors of the consumer advice center via video chat in the new mobile advice service. The entire range of advice is to be offered, for example on the topics of energy, finance, food and care.
According to the ministry, the project, including the purchase of the vehicle, operating costs and personnel, is made possible by additional funding from the state of Saxony-Anhalt. Funds totaling around EUR 710,000 from the Corona special fund would be available by 2026.
The consumer advice center is now preparing the planning and purchase of the vehicle. The minibus or small van should have a consultation area as well as data transmission and video conferencing technology. Documents brought by those seeking advice should be able to be digitized with a scanner.
