Dresden (dpa/sn) – An alliance of Saxon clubs, organizations and charities has called for a state admissions program for refugees in the Free State. The Saxon CDU in particular should be interested in such a program, the alliance demanded on Thursday in a joint press release distributed by the Saxon Refugee Council. “If a person can remain in Saxony through such a state admissions program, that is the ideal case for the “regulated” migration that the CDU often longs for,” said Paula Moser from the Refugee Council. Other members of the alliance include the Saxony state association of the SPD youth organization Jusos and the Dresden witnesses to flight association.

State admission programs create safe escape routes, according to Moser. “We therefore do not understand why the Saxon interior minister has repeatedly spoken out against federal and state admission programs in recent weeks.” The alliance calls for rallies in Dresden and Leipzig on Sunday.
