Frankfurt/Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) – A special police task force has arrested a suspected murderer who was wanted with an international arrest warrant in Frankfurt. The 35-year-old is said to have shot a taxi driver in the Swedish city of Gothenburg in mid-October, according to the State Criminal Police Office (LKA) in Wiesbaden on Thursday.

Although the man initially went into hiding after the crime, according to the LKA, the investigators managed to determine the whereabouts of the suspect. During the arrest, an apartment in Frankfurt and an apartment in neighboring Kelsterbach (Groß-Gerau district) were searched. The 35-year-old was arrested. The LKA did not say how the investigators tracked down the man and when the arrest took place.
