Kassel (dpa/lhe) – A man approached children in Kassel to circulate counterfeit money. He offered two boys money at the Christmas market in the city center with which they should buy something to eat, the police said on Tuesday. He gave them a fake 50 euro note and then asked the two 12-year-olds to give him back the change. According to the information, the astonished children asked in a shop early Monday evening whether there was anything wrong with the note and were told that it was counterfeit money. They informed the police. There was initially no trace of the man.
