Hamm (dpa / lnw) – A 33-year-old man has ensured a larger deployment of the police and fire brigade in Hamm. He initially threatened the police officers on Saturday that he would shoot if the officers opened the door and entered his apartment, the police said in the evening. A short time later there was smoke in the attic apartment. The man then climbed through a window onto the roof of the apartment building. The Firefighters put out the fire. According to the police, when the man climbed back into his apartment through the window, he was arrested without resistance. A firearm was not found. The man had previously dialed the emergency number several times and made “confused statements”.
