Wasserburg (dpa/lby) – A 70-year-old pedestrian was hit by a car while crossing a street in the Lindau district and was seriously injured. She was traveling in Wasserburg with her husband and probably underestimated the speed of the approaching car, the police said on Saturday. Accordingly, the 50-year-old driver could no longer brake on Friday evening. The impact threw the elderly woman over the hood and onto the windshield. She came to a hospital. The police could not say whether her husband was injured.
