Father, mother, son and now a daughter. One could say that ex-soccer goalkeeper René Adler is now in the midst of a classic picture book family. His wife Lilli Hollunder revealed this.
René Adler and Lilli Hollunder are happy about more offspring. The actress announced on her official Instagram page that her second child with the former national soccer goalkeeper was born healthy and sound.
The 36-year-old posted a first mother-daughter photo. With closed eyes, but also a smile all over her face, Hollunder holds her baby in her arms. “I’m at a loss for words. I’m trying anyway. Dear life, thank you! Thank you, thank you!” Is her comment on the recording.
In addition, Hollunder reveals the name of the new earthling: “I love you so much, little Billie, that my heart shatters into a thousand parts! And now it’s going home to your big brother, who can’t wait any longer.”
The couple revealed in October on their “Mea Culpa” podcast that their son Casper will have a sister. The boy was born in May 2020. At that time it was Adler who announced the birth on his Instagram page with a very similar photo. He, too, held the child in his arms with his eyes almost closed.
Of course, congratulations on the daughter were not long in coming. One of the prominent well-wishers is long-distance runner Sabrina Mockenhaupt. “How wonderful. All the best to you and a wonderful cuddle time. And how cute the name!” She writes in the comment column.
Tennis player Sabine Lisicki leaves it with a short “congratulations” and three red heart emojis. Actress and presenter Janine Kunze, on the other hand, is over the moon. “Congratulations from the bottom of my heart! Thinking of you,” she explains.
Adler and Hollunder have been married since 2016. During his playing days, the 37-year-old played for Bayer Leverkusen, Hamburger SV and Mainz 05, among others, before retiring in 2019. Between 2008 and 2013 he was a member of the German national team. Hollunder has been involved in various TV formats since the turn of the millennium – including the series “Verbotene Liebe”, “Anna und die Liebe” and “Heldt”.
