Lünen (dpa / lnw) – When crossing a level crossing in Lünen in the Unna district, a car was hit by a train. The 41-year-old driver and the 44-year-old train driver suffered minor injuries, a police spokeswoman said on Thursday. The train passengers were not injured. The regional train hit the car on Wednesday evening on the unrestricted level crossing in the rear area and rammed it off the tracks. The train came to a standstill after about 150 meters. After initial investigations, the 41-year-old wanted to cross the crossing, even though the traffic light had flashed red.
