All this would not be possible if it was not for the creation of the Web at the CERN of Switzerland, between 1989 and 1990, by the British Tim Berners-Lee, author of the World Wide Web.
This set of protocols comprises three protocols that are still used at present: HTTP, HTML, XML and URI.
The first web page was launched on August 6, 1991 in a domain that is not yet available.
However, it was an access restricted exclusively to CERN members, where it was developed, although in 1993 its code was released.
Almost twenty days later, the domain opened for all and on August 23, 1991, people alien to Cern were invited to access it.
On the occasion of the commemoration of this day, every August 23 is celebrated on the day of the Internet.
