The Nanterre prosecutor’s office (Hauts-de-Seine) opened a rape investigation on Monday, February 27, targeting the Moroccan defender of Paris-Saint-Germain Achraf Hakimi, a source familiar with the matter reported to Le Monde, confirming information from the Parisian.
The investigation was entrusted to the territorial security of Hauts-de-Seine, after accusations from a 24-year-old woman who said she was raped on February 25 at the player’s home in Boulogne-Billancourt. Contacted by Le Monde, the Nanterre prosecutor’s office refused to communicate on this case, deploring that “the information already published” in the press “undermines the investigations necessary for the manifestation of the truth”.
According to a police source, this woman went to the police station in Nogent-sur-Marne (Val-de-Marne) to denounce acts of rape committed by Achraf Hakimi. They had met in January on the social network Instagram, continues this source, and she had gone Saturday evening to the player in a VTC (transport car with driver) ordered by Hakimi.
On the spot, she reports that Hakimi, 24, kissed her and touched her without her consent before raping her. She says she got rid of him by kicking him. A friend, contacted by SMS, came to recover it, always concludes this source.
World Cup semi-finalist
The Créteil public prosecutor’s office opened an investigation and then transferred the procedure to Nanterre, the town of Boulogne-Billancourt where the facts in the Hauts-de-Seine would have taken place. Contacted by Agence France-Presse, PSG did not react immediately.
The player was present at the “FIFA the Best” trophy ceremony on Monday evening in Paris, during which he competes to appear in the typical team of the year. Achraf Hakimi arrived at Paris-Saint-Germain in 2021 from Inter Milan, already crowned with a certain status. Injured in the hamstrings, he did not participate in the Ligue 1 clash on Sunday in Marseille, won 3-0 by PSG against Olympique de Marseille.
The defender was born in Spain, in Getafe, in the southern suburbs of Madrid, in the district of Las Margaritas. Passed by the Real Madrid training center, he shone in Dortmund, at Inter Milan, before joining PSG. Achraf Hakimi could also have become a Spanish international, but he made the sporting choice of Morocco, the country of his parents, with which he joined the semi-finals of the last World Cup.
