ACS obtained a net profit of 351 million euros, which represents an increase of 4.8% over the same period of the previous year, thanks to the good evolution of all its businesses and, mainly, by the recovery of highway traffic
of abertis.
Specifically, the lifting of restrictions on mobility within countries has driven their traffic 22.4% in the first semester, contributing by 77 million to the Gross Exploitation Result (EBITDA) and at 62 million
euros to net profit.
In this way, EBITDA of ACS improved by 14.6% in this period, up to 737 million euros, although sales were affected by the exchange rate, especially by the negative evolution of 9% of the US dollar against the
Euro, and retreated 3.5%, up to 13,330 million euros.
North America concentrated 60% of all billing, followed by Australia, with 19%;
from Europe, with 17%;
from Asia, with 3%;
and from South America, the remaining 1%.
Only the United States, Australia, Spain, Canada and Germany contribute 92% of the total sales.
The order portfolio as of June 2021 was located at 63,993 million euros, growing 3.3% in comparable terms with respect to the first semester of last year, that is, adjusted by the evolution of the exchange rate and the sale agreement of
Industrial services to Vinci for almost 5,000 million euros, culminated last April.
