After wild rumors surrounding her health, Britney Spears decided to send a “sign of life” to her fans via video message. She is “alive and happy”. At the same time she shares in text form against the media – and indicates an extreme step.

The rumors about Britney Spears’ health continue even after her father’s guardianship ended. Recently, these took on such questionable traits that the musician now felt compelled to upload a “proof video” to her official Instagram account. In it, Spears speaks directly to the camera, which she rarely does, and affirms, “I’m alive, happy and fine.”

Spears is responding to claims by US gossip sites that people around her are worried about their health. “This week the media said I almost died,” Spears wrote of her clip. It was also claimed that she had a whole team of doctors taking care of her. Spears now referred both to the realm of fables and criticized the sensationalism of the relevant platforms.

“I’m a very boring person! It frustrates me to know that news sites write this stuff. It’s worse than a bad joke because people actually believe this stuff.”

A day earlier, Spears had also commented on the rumors, but only in text form. “It makes me sick that it’s even legal for people to make up stories that I almost died. Enough is enough eventually!” In the same post, Spears hints that he may want to stop posting content on Instagram permanently, “because there are obviously too many people who don’t wish me well.”

She also had to experience this year that even caring for her fans can take on toxic excesses. After her Instagram account was briefly unavailable at the end of January, some fans, worried about the singer, called the local police. Officers then drove to the musician’s home and made sure Spears was okay.
