His publisher announced Tuesday that Patrick Sabatier, the TV host of 1980s, has found a new profession by publishing an autobiographical novel at age 70. Editions du Rocher will publish “La Lettre”, signed by former TF1 host.

Patrick Sabatier was deeply inspired by his parents’ life for his first novel. “A trompe-l’oeil novel in which personal story, memories, and romantic sagas are skillfully intertwined. The author’s sincerity touches me deeply,” the publisher said in his presentation.

The story centers on Emma, a 1924-born Italian woman who has two children. One of them will be a TV star. A late revelation will shake certainties and reveal a painful past Emma believed was forever buried. The Rock editions are explained by a letter.

Patrick Sabatier was also blessed with Emilienne Rossi, a mother of Italian descent, who was also born in 1924, and died in 2013. He was very private about his personal story. C8 was his last appearance on television in 2020.
