Kirchheim unter Teck (dpa / lsw) – A 16-year-old fled from the police in a car and caused an accident in which two people were injured. The teenager was traveling in his parents’ car and had three friends aged 14 and 16 on board, a police spokesman said on Monday.
The teenager was standing at a red traffic light on Sunday evening in Kirchheim unter Teck when a patrol car crew switched on the blue light on the way to an operation. The 16-year-old then ignored the traffic light and suddenly accelerated sharply. He also ran a red light at another traffic light and finally lost control of the car. This crashed into a tree on a traffic island and was completely destroyed at the front.
The driver and one of the passengers fled on foot. Two other youths stayed behind with minor injuries. In the course of the search, the police caught the 16-year-old, who of course does not have a driver’s license. Several ads await him.
