Oberstadion (dpa/lsw) – A lot of damage occurred when a car and a carport caught fire in Oberstadion (Alb-Donau-Kreis). The police estimated the sum on Tuesday at 150,000 euros. The residential building on private property was initially uninhabitable due to heavy smoke. The car caught fire Monday after its owner parked it under the carport. The flames spread to a carport and a garage. The police assumed a defect in the engine compartment as the cause of the fire.
