Backnang (dpa / lsw) – A man pushed a 21-year-old from a promenade into a river in Backnang (Rems-Murr district). The previously unknown attacker also hit the young man and pushed him under water in the Murr, the police said on Wednesday. When passers-by called the police, the man jumped into the river, swam to the other bank and fled. A police spokesman said it was not yet clear why the stranger suddenly attacked the 21-year-old on Saturday. Initially being investigated for assault.
