Vaihingen an der Enz (dpa/lsw) – An 86-year-old woman was seriously injured in an accident on a country road in the Ludwigsburg district. The woman was driving her car in the direction of Kleinglattbach when a 40-year-old tractor driver with a trailer came towards her, the police said early Thursday morning. In a right-hand bend, the 86-year-old got into the oncoming lane for reasons that have not yet been clarified and touched the tractor. The car turned once on its own axis and came to a stop on the grass verge. The woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The tractor driver and his 36-year-old passenger were unharmed.
