Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – Police officers have found many violations when checking restaurants and shisha bars in Stuttgart. According to Tuesday’s information, eight guests at a restaurant were temporarily arrested because they were allegedly staying in Germany illegally. After the completion of the police measures, they were released again.
The police, together with the main customs office and the restaurant authority, checked 18 restaurants on Saturday night and found more than 80 violations. Officials confiscated five gaming machines because they did not meet legal requirements and initiated illegal gambling proceedings. They also confiscated 26 kilograms of non-compliant shisha tobacco.
In several cases, the video surveillance was not sufficiently marked, fire extinguishers and smoke detectors did not work, escape routes were blocked or the youth protection notices were not up to date.
