Karlsruhe (dpa / lsw) – The art fair in Karlsruhe is getting a new management duo. Curator and founder Ewald Karl Schrade is handing over management to art historian Olga Blass and gallery owner Kristian Jarmuschek, as stated in a statement on Tuesday. The change should only be completed after the trade fair next year.
Blass is to take over the internal management, Jarmuschek is to strengthen the trade fair as chairman of the external advisory board. Since 2013 he has been on the board of directors of the Federal Association of German Galleries and Art Dealers. The two should then take over the direction for the first time in 2024. “The new management concept is an important step towards making art Karlsruhe successful in the future,” explained the Managing Director of Messe Karlsruhe, Britta Wirtz.
The renowned fair for classical, modern and contemporary art was founded in 2004. It will take place from May 4th to 7th next year. In it, national and international galleries present the spectrum of the art market to a large audience.
