Freiburg (dpa / lsw) – According to the first indications, possible attacks in a former children’s home in Freiburg are to be clarified. It is about possible cases of sexualised, physical and psychological violence in what was then St. Augustinusheim. This was announced by the operator at the time, the Catholic Women’s Social Service (SkF) Freiburg, on Wednesday on request. Südwestrundfunk (SWR) had previously reported.

Possible incidents from the 1980s and 1990s are being researched. The pedagogical practice of that time is to be comprehensively reviewed. Accordingly, the Munich Institute for Practical Research and Project Consulting (IPP) was involved.

The information does not come from those directly affected, said SkF managing director Mara Roth on request. There are no ads yet. We are looking for contemporary witnesses and those affected who would like to provide information. According to SWR, the Catholic St. Augustinusheim was housed in a villa in Freiburg from 1951 to 2009.
