Deggingen (dpa / lsw) – The auto supplier Rüster has filed for bankruptcy in self-administration. This was announced by the company with around 630 employees on Thursday in Deggingen (Göppingen district). The aim of the reorganization approved by the insolvency court is to continue the medium-sized company and to secure the financing. Rüster produces products for vibration damping as well as for sealing and insulating cars. The company recently made sales of around 120 million euros.
The automotive supplier in its current form has only existed for a year and a half. It emerged from an insolvency and made two acquisitions at the same time. Due to insufficient financing in the course of the takeover and also dramatic cost increases, especially for energy, there are currently liquidity problems.
In the case of restructuring under self-administration, the management remains in office. However, she is always assigned a restructuring expert who accompanies the plans for the conversion.
