Konstanz (dpa / lsw) – Because he is said to have set three fires in the Lake Constance district, a 26-year-old has to answer to the district court of Constance. The man made a confession through his defense attorney at the beginning of the trial on Thursday, a court spokeswoman said. A request by the defense attorney to exclude the public had previously been rejected by the chamber.
The man is said to have set fire to two barns and the trailer of a forest kindergarten in Markdorf in May of this year. Two horses were killed in the series of fires. According to the indictment, numerous vintage cars were also destroyed. The property damage is said to be around half a million euros. Two more dates are scheduled for the process. A verdict could come on November 22nd.
