Marbach am Neckar (dpa / lsw) – A motorcyclist died in an accident on a state road in the Ludwigsburg district. A 54-year-old driver came into the oncoming lane near Marbach am Neckar on Thursday afternoon for reasons that have not yet been clarified, the police said. He first collided with another car and then with the motorcyclist, who was then pushed onto the car driving behind. The 44-year-old motorcyclist was injured so badly that he died at the scene of the accident. The person who caused the accident and the two passengers aged 39 and 58 were seriously injured. The others involved were reportedly slightly injured.
All of the vehicles were no longer drivable and had to be towed away. According to the police, the total damage to property is estimated at around 35,000 euros.
