Rastatt (dpa / lsw) – The crew of a motor yacht probably contracted carbon monoxide poisoning on Friday. The two men and two women were able to make an emergency call and head for the pier in Plittersdorf, according to the police in Rastatt. They were admitted to hospitals. The escape of the odorless gas carbon monoxide can lead to unconsciousness or even death in high concentrations. According to the police, it probably entered the cabin as a result of engine damage. The fire brigade was able to prove the gas inside the boat. The motor yacht was en route on the Rhine from Germersheim to Kehl.
