Karlsruhe (dpa/lsw) – Second division club Karlsruher SC has successfully completed the subsequent licensing process of the German Football League (DFL). This confirmed the club’s performance for this season, as the KSC announced on Tuesday. This means that the Karlsruhe team can continue the season without any restrictions.
“The feedback from the DFL underlines our good and sustainable management in the club,” said Managing Director Michael Becker. “Due to the ongoing construction of the new stadium, which has now reached the home straight, and the corresponding lack of relevant income from the new hospitality areas, we are currently still planning a loss for the 2022/23 financial year.”
During one season, the DFL re-examines the general economic conditions of all first and second division teams. The KSC had submitted all the necessary documents for this in good time.
