Karlsruhe (dpa / lsw) – There are still obstructions and delays on the railway line between Karlsruhe and Pforzheim. This was announced by a spokeswoman for Deutsche Bahn on Thursday. Since Wednesday morning, rail traffic on the route has only been possible to a limited extent due to cable damage. Both long-distance and local transport are affected. In the meantime, the location of the fault has been found and repairs have begun. From Friday, rail traffic should be possible again without restrictions. The cause of the disturbance is probably explosive ordnance probes – investigations to see whether there are still remains from the Second World War in the ground.
