Esslingen (dpa / lsw) – After a shootout in Esslingen, the police began investigations into an attempted homicide. According to information from Tuesday, there had been a dispute between rival young men in front of a restaurant the night before. Witnesses heard gunshots and police found projectiles at the scene. When officers arrived, the suspects had fled. A search was unsuccessful. It was not immediately known if anyone was injured.
A few hours earlier, young people – also in the Esslingen-Mettingen district – are said to have argued at the train station and had striking tools with them. According to the police, no crimes were committed. The police checked around two dozen people involved, mostly young men between the ages of 18 and 26. It was initially unclear whether there was a connection between the two incidents.
