Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – On Wednesday evening, an apartment burned on the top floor of a 13-storey skyscraper in Stuttgart. When the fire brigade arrived, thick black smoke came out of an open window, and the emergency services then extinguished a burning mattress in the apartment, as the fire brigade announced. There were no people there. Most of the residents could have left the building on their own because the stairwell was not filled with smoke. It did not have to be evacuated, as it was said.
After the extinguishing work, the apartment was freed from the fire smoke with a high-performance fan. The residents were then able to return to their homes. During the extinguishing work, there were impairments in the light rail and bus services.
