Ostfildern (dpa/lsw) – Fireworks artists from several countries have been lighting up the night sky again with their pyrotechnics at the “Flaming Stars” festival in Ostfildern since Friday evening. After a two-year Corona break, the organizers are expecting tens of thousands of visitors by Sunday. After the Austrian contribution on Friday evening, teams from Germany and Italy will also ignite their music-accompanied fireworks at the weekend. “The participants all have the same basic technical and budgetary requirements,” said festival spokeswoman Elke Cosmo. “What they make of it is up to them.” A jury evaluates the shows and awards points.
According to the organizers, the festival has been taking place for 18 years. The fireworks on the former Scharnhauser Park garden show grounds will be accompanied by live music, a laser show, artists and a market, among other things.
