Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – The fruit harvest in Baden-Württemberg was better than expected last year. According to an estimate, around 429,000 tons of apples, pears, cherries, mirabelle plums, plums and plums were harvested despite severe drought and heat in the summer months, as the State Statistical Office announced on Tuesday in Stuttgart. There has been an increase in all these types of fruit. In 2021, the tree fruit harvest in the Southwest was 383,916 tons.
