Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – After a long back and forth, the leaders of the green-black coalition have agreed on the draft for the new climate protection law. The CDU parliamentary group had already approved the paper on Wednesday at their meeting in Freudenstadt, said a spokesman for the German Press Agency on request. The Greens group wanted to deal with the compromise this Thursday at their closed meeting in Berlin. A parliamentary group spokesman said: “We are putting a check on the climate protection law.”
With the amendment, Baden-Württemberg intends to be the first federal state to enshrine in law specific targets for reducing greenhouse gases, for example in agriculture or transport.
