Menge (dpa / lsw) – The fire of a grill caused a house fire in Menge (Sigmaringen district). The two-family house suffered property damage of around 300,000 euros on Monday evening, the police said on Tuesday. The grill in the garden initially set fire to an adjacent hedge before the flames spread to the facade and roof. More than 80 firefighters were able to prevent a full fire in the building. One resident suffered minor burn injuries, police said. Three firefighters were also slightly injured. The police are investigating negligent arson.
