Heidenheim (dpa / lsw) – Striker Stefan Schimmer stays with the second division soccer team 1. FC Heidenheim. The 28-year-old has extended his contract, which expires in the summer, by three more years, as the third-placed player announced on Friday. Schimmer has played 107 competitive games for FCH so far. The native of Wertinger scored 14 goals.
“He comes from our region, has made the step to become a seasoned second division player and embodies our mentality 100 percent,” said Robert Strauss, Heidenheim’s sports division manager. “He’s shown over the years how important he is to us with his goals.”
