Stuttgart (dpa/lsw) – Renata Jungo Brüngger’s management contract was extended on Thursday by the Mercedes-Benz supervisory board until the end of 2024. The company announced this in Stuttgart. The 61-year-old Swiss national has been a member of the Board of Management since 2016 and is responsible for integrity and law. Her contract would have expired at the end of the year. The manager is one of three women on the board of the Swabian car manufacturer.
Last year, the supervisory body decided to make the appointment and reappointment of members of the Management Board more flexible: At the age of 58 or 59 at the beginning of their term of office, the appointment period should not exceed two years; from the age of 60, the appointment period should not exceed one year. Multiple extensions of the contracts are possible, as the company announced.
