Karlsruhe (dpa / lsw) – Second division soccer team Karlsruher SC has to do without midfielder Leon Jensen for the time being. The 25-year-old sustained a shoulder joint fracture in Sunday’s second division game at Hannover 96 (0-1), as the club announced on Monday. He does not have to undergo an operation, the injury is being treated conservatively.
Jensen was in the KSC starting line-up for the first time on Sunday after a cruciate ligament tear and two knee surgeries. In the eleventh minute he collided with Hanover’s Max Besuschkow in midfield. He not only suffered a laceration, but also hit his left shoulder and ultimately had to be substituted after almost 20 minutes.
