Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – A change is imminent at the head of the Württemberg State Museum. The scientific director Astrid Pellengahr is giving up her post and will in future be head of the culture department of the Upper Bavaria district and at the same time Upper Bavarian district home nurse, as a spokeswoman for the house in Stuttgart announced. “Stuttgarter Zeitung” and “Stuttgarter Nachrichten” had previously reported.
According to the information, it is not yet clear when exactly Pellengahr will switch to Bavaria. It will probably be spring 2023, it said. Pellengahr told the Stuttgart newspapers that their motives were exclusively personal. She didn’t make the decision easy for herself, because the State Museum has grown dear to her heart. Pellengahr took over the task in March 2020. The 55-year-old was previously head of the state office for non-governmental museums in Bavaria.
