Gruibingen (dpa / lsw) – A man was traveling with a fake passport and driver’s license on the Autobahn 8 near Gruibingen (Göppingen district). During a traffic check, the 39-year-old discovered the fake, as the police and prosecutors announced on Wednesday. At the police station, the man’s true identity was clarified: he does not come from Ukraine, as the documents say, but from Georgia.

While the identity was being clarified, the driver put up considerable resistance and slightly injured two officers, it said. Inventory was also broken. Police also found a small amount of drugs in the car.

At the request of the public prosecutor’s office in Ulm, the responsible district court in Ulm issued an arrest warrant against the 39-year-old on Tuesday. The man is now in custody. The investigation initially continued.
