Kressbronn am Bodensee (dpa/lsw) – After the deadly knife attack in a refugee accommodation on Lake Constance, the result of the autopsy is certain. Accordingly, a stab wound in the chest area apparently led to the death of the 38-year-old, as the police announced on Wednesday.
A 31-year-old Nigerian is suspected of having knocked on several rooms in the accommodation in Kressbronn (Lake Constance district) and stabbed those present with a knife. A 38-year-old Syrian was killed. Four women aged 28 to 34 and a 37-year-old man were injured. As of Wednesday, no one was in mortal danger. Three of the injured remained in the hospital.
The suspect was taken into custody. The Friedrichshafen criminal police set up a 25-strong investigation team to clarify the course of events late on Sunday evening.
The 31-year-old is said to have rioted in the accommodation in May of this year and threatened people with a knife. Then he went to a psychiatric clinic. It was initially unclear when the man had been living in the accommodation again.
