Freiberg am Neckar (dpa / lsw) – When trying to save his mobile phone that fell out of the window, a man in Freiberg am Neckar crashed through the corrugated iron roof of a warehouse and was seriously injured. After hitting the ground, the 36-year-old called for help for hours on Sunday morning before neighbors finally heard the screams, police said on Monday.
The man was on the phone at the window of an apartment in the city in the district of Ludwigsburg when the cell phone fell out of his hand and landed on the roof. To get it back, he climbed out of the window and jumped two meters down onto the warehouse roof. This collapsed and the man fell a further seven meters onto the hall floor.
Due to his severe leg injuries, the man could not get up. Neighbors heard the cries for help late in the morning and called an ambulance. The man is not in mortal danger.
