Ludwigsburg (dpa / lsw) – Bundesliga basketball club MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg has signed the American Isaiah Whitehead. The 1.93 meter guard is “a versatile player with a lot of experience in the top leagues, another important part of our team,” said coach Josh King in a club statement on Thursday. The club did not provide any information on the contract period.

Whitehead was most recently under contract in Montenegro and at Besiktas Istanbul in Turkey, between 2016 and 2018 he played in the North American professional league NBA and in the G-League. Ludwigsburg will start the new Bundesliga season on October 2nd (3:00 p.m.) with the Baden-Württemberg duel at the MLP Academics Heidelberg.
